Post traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, is a mental condition that develops after a person experiences or witnesses a traumatic or terrifying event, such as war, rape or an act of terrorism. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for PTSD is a treatment option that will help those who suffer from PTSD.

To our brave young men and women who serve our country, we salute you! At the Atlanta Hyperbaric Center, we believe in taking care of those who care for us. It’s because of you that we have our freedoms. You have sacrificed some while others sacrificed all, and for that we are grateful. PTSD is affecting more and more veterans every day, but there’s no need to live with the pain. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been shown to help soldiers coming home.

We’re grateful to the men and women in blue for keeping us safe. And because you give so much and receive so little, we want to give back to you. PTSD is becoming more and more prominent among police forces, and we can’t forget that at times they’re operating in what amount to war zones and experience traumatic events. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been shown to improve PTSD symptoms, so please call us.

Here’s to the men and women of courage, bravery and empathy who walk into flames and come back with our loved ones. You’ve saved so many but rarely hear the praise. At the Atlanta Hyperbaric Center, we praise and salute you for your courage and lifesaving service. Research shows that firefighters experience extreme stress and fatigue on top of breathing in canistered air and toxic fumes, and this can have devastating consequences on overall health. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy restores oxygen levels within the body and helps it to heal and function better.

Hyperbaric Chamber PTSD Treatment

Since 2012, Dr. Louis Hilliard has been raising awareness among veterans of the importance of HBOT and oxygen for the possible treatment for PTSD. In HBOT, the patient is put in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber that saturates the tissues with twelve times more oxygen than can be absorbed by breathing. This greatly enhances the body’s healing and functioning processes.

HBOT and PTSD Study

We are currently working with the Veterans Association to help veterans receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Our study will help show how HBOT can help millions of veterans get their health and their lives back.
