What Documentation Do I Need To Buy A Hyperbaric Chamber?

In order to buy a hyperbaric chamber you will need to show proper documentation from your doctor ie. prescription or  state physician license.

Why Do I Need A Prescription?

According to federal agencies, mild hyperbaric chambers are considered a Class II medical device. In order to buy a new or used hyperbaric chamber you will need to acquire a prescription from your treating physician or Family practitioner or have a current state physician license.

Where Do I Get My Documentation?

Prescription

  1. Treating Physician
  2. Medical Doctor
  3. Online Doctor
  4. Telemedicine

State License

  • Medical Doctor
  • Chiropractor
  • Physician Assistant

What Should the Prescription Say?

We can not speak for your treating physician on what it should say.  He/She will need to use their professional discretion when prescribing the hyperbaric oxygen therapy.  In the prescription it should state something in effect to getting hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) or hyperbaric chamber w/ oxygen.

Military Veterans / First Responders Documentation

You will need to show proof of service with one: ID DD214 or Badge Number
